They are machines mainly studied to cut and to maintain the grass in areas intended for spare time as gardens, public areas, airports, golf course, parks, sports ground where the quality of the cuts is important. On the machine there are vertical multirotors with blades positioned in order to have the overlapping.

The kinematic chain is: 

• From the tractor the movement arrive to the gearbox by P.T.O. drive shaft. 
• On the vertical output shaft of the multiplier it is assembled a pulley that transmits motion to every single rotor. 
• The belts and the pulleys are located in a “protected chamber” over the blades 
• A peculiarity of this transmission is to be “smooth”; it means that the picks, the shocky, the vibrations are very well absorbed by the belts. 

In order to have a good cut together with a good ventilation able to move away the cutter grass, the blades tip speed has to be around 75/90 m/sec.
